Here are the features I wish for almost everyday.
A horn - to get my wife's or the dogs' attention, or get them out of the way.
A 4wd indicator light - I sometimes go 2-3 hours without realizing I forgot to take it out of 4wd.
Less often, a lights indicator - It's hard to tell they're on during daylight hours.
Today I was buried up to my axles in loose, sloppy clay. The diff lock didn't help. If I didn't have the F350 and logging chains, it would probably still be there. The R4's just spun. So now I'm thinking about a winch too!

If that is what you are going to be in a lot I'd look at a set of ag tires as it sounds like you might have clay ground. Otherwise it's a good combo with the 350! ....

I have 25 hrs on my B3030 with FEL, 60" MMM 5' RMB and a 2 bottom 14" plow. I have used it for mowing and to tear up and prepare for 5000 SQ/FT of new grass. I am very happy with the performance and don't need anything larger. I wouldn't want anything smaller either as it is nice to have the power you need to do any task that comes along, within reason of course. I can see the value in having the fetures you describe although I can usually tell when the FWD is engaged as it turns differently. The one thing I would like to have is a parking brake indicator light. I have drove away with the brakes on several times and when quite a ways before I realized it. The brakes are very powerful for parking on slopes and turning in soft dirt but, when in low range the tractor overpowers them so easily about the only way you can tell they are on is by the sound. And when your mind is involved in what you are trying to do I sometimes miss the signs. My other complaint is the tiny alternator that is standard. I am in the process of mounting some extra work lights and found out that the stock alternator will not run more than one extra light without discharging the battery. My dealer sold me the heavy duty alternator kit (40 Amps) for $150 so I am going to install that. Otherwise I am very pleased with the quality and performance of this tractor. Nice looking too. And, my tractor does not have excessive vibration like I have heard some do. ....

I agree with you about the parking brake. I do that a couple times a week. I wanted to include that in my list.
My 23 acres is about 2000 feet x 500 foot, going from river bottom up 140 feet in altitude, so the average is a 7% slope. So I'm in and out of 4wd, using the parking brake almost everytime I get out of the seat.
Regarding ag tires, I was only in that area because we have a record dry September, and I thought it'd be my only chance to mow a trail to later build a boardwalk there. It happened so fast - I engaged the diff. lock and it seemed to dig straight down. I was using the bush hog but my mid-mount mower was also installed, so I think it kept the tractor suspended and thereby prevented the tires from connecting with a good grip.
All is well, and I fell in love again with my F350. ....

Now the fun starts. Take what Kubota built and add your own tweeks to it. We are never satisfied with anything, it's just our nature. We've spent $$$$'s on our 7810 adding everthing I thought it was missing, never satisfied. It's just our nature.
Ms. Beagle thinks we are all titched. She got a real kick out of these posts.
Have fun, we have!! ....

Amen on the parking brake indicator. I have left it on a couple times only very briefly, but it sure makes me feel like a dope. ....

The R-4 tires are a "so so" compromise between turf and ag tires. The R-4's tire lugs will load up with mud fast and do not clear themselves out like the R-1 ag tires will. Even then, any tractor will sink and just dig in if it hits a bad patch of ground. I have seen full sized 180 hp 4WD dual rear tire ag tractors stuck up to their frames. It can happend fast and really be a mess to retreve them. ....
